Internship review n reunion dinner

Went for interview. the company has over 100 staffs there(thats why its a little packed in there), looks more like an office with cubicles and lotsa papers around=hectic. Once we got there, had to fill in a 3-4 pages form and wait. I told the receptionist I dont know who my interviewer was and said if im not wrong, the one who contacted me said a Mr.H will be interviewing me. She said its not possible because people has to go thru another person before going to the MD...MD man...i was like..wow.....

Anyway, while i was sitting around, sis went out to get lunch, a 50-year old guy came in and asked "ms. xx?" when i said yeah, he nodded I got the hint to follow him into the lift. I could guess he is that Mr.H and there's this slide-the-card thingy in the lift, without sliding the card, the lift wont move..wow, +1 point for the company.

So, he interviewed me, telling me that this company has a few diverse businesses and that my job responsibilities is basically to target the right people thru their own created database, call them(company), secure an appointment, and go close a deal. The first 2 weeks, i will be staying at the office reading up their materials n understanding the company though. So i said again at this interview.."So it's SAles"..and expected he denied its sales...

He also added that there are compensation for mileage if we go meet clients by own. RM0.15cents per kilometer, and rm0.35/km for honda civic.hmm..why's that huh? If he was testing me, he would have known that I dont know much about mileage thingy and can be very gullible. When my dad, sis, and friends(who r already working) heard of this, they were like "WJATTT"..my dad said i must have heard it wrong..maybe its RM0.5..but im sure i heard rm0.15..okay, means the company underpays employees.. -1 Point from this.

I asked a lot of questions this time and then, the way he said it means im already confirmed. Another 9 interns will be working there as well. I was contemplating whether to ask allowance or not because my lecturers advised me not to ask about this because companies are taking us in for internship based on their goodwill. But in this case, i regret listening to them. I walked out of that door/office without asking that MOST IMPORTANT question and was left regreting and worrying over this matter during my Chinese New Year Celebration

You see, now i got 3 choices to make, the 1st company(consulting company), this company, and another one in sri hartamas(which doesnt need any interviews).

Advantages of 1st company(provided what im wrong in my assumation)
-learn telemarketing
-work in a corporate company with professionals
-learn to wear corporate clothes n practice corporatism in consulting compan(brush teeth after lunch, armed with sweets, wear pao shoes)
-deal with high-positioned people aka directors n managers
-get to meet international people as well
-get trainings
-get allowances from rm300-rm700(in jobstreet, mention MINIMUM is rm500)

Disadvantages(provided i am correct in my assumption)
-8.30-5.30pm, he will give me lotsa work..i do overtime, alone in that office..with him
-nearing my final days working there, he might threaten me that if i want a good review for my internship report, i'd have to do something WITH him which means..my Life..HABIS..DOOMED
-quite far
-office environment quite small(2.5 hotel rooms), wont be able to walk here n there

Advantages of 2nd company
-more office like-environment
-availablility of public transport
-get trainings by the MD himself
-a bigger company in terms of employees, but internationally....still expanding..but quite slow(thats why they need marketing..urghh)
-get to learn the real marketing stuff..to me, its almost like sales anyway..tough..but yeah we learn
-pretty much the real marketing world
-has the chance to remain in the company if they find u good among 9 others
-have 9 other interns to have lunch with me instead of lunching alone

Disadvantage
-might have no allowances at all..work like slave
-intense competition among 9 others n stressful to achieve target
-packed environment

Oh, did i mention about the attire thingy?

Mr.how:u can wear like corporate ppl...like what u see outside(pointing to those outside his room)
me: mr.how, do u think what im wearing is suitable??
mr.how :*scrutinizing*..not really ngam..
me:*was expecting a yes*..huh..so, we can wear like this, ermm..
mr.how: should be more ...formal..

When I got back, my mom was staring at me..i stare back at myself..OH MAI GADDD..i seriously hope it wasnt like that when i was asking him..My middle button was loose! Right in the middle of my cleavage!!! I seriously hope he didnt notice or it was still intact at that time. Imagine when i asked him, he must sure think that i wanna seduce him..dios mios!! I wanna slap myself already!

Advantages of 3rd company(sri hartamas)
-no need interview
-got allowances from rm300
-might get to go to their exposition in SG
-learn about telecommunicating stuff, messaging gateways, system
-learn to handle business issues

Dis
-no interview means i dont know the office environment, how far, how r those ppl like, etc
-sri hartamas, too far, according to one friend "jam like hell every single day"
-no public transport

So, u see, im very very confused and worried! How to tell them if I dont want?

On the other hand, today is also the day we have a reunion dinner with most of our relatives.

My cousin brother bought his 4-month old Elisa and she's so adorable. Too bad I think my face looks scary because when she stared at me, she kept staring and if i do funny antics, she started crying..reminds me of the movie ICE AGE where the saber tooth tiger says "WHERE'S THE BABY?" haha..

Thats the picture of the first course, for the 2nd course and the others, i forgot to take..was too busy fighting for the food!!

Cheers,
J
